Celebrate Mother’s Day with Kitka and special guest artists Tzvetanka & Ivan Varimezovi in Oakland’s most exciting new outdoor venue! Kitka will offer a concert program showcasing the beauty and vitality of women’s vocal traditions from Balkan, Baltic, Slavic, and Caucasian lands. Following the performance, audience members are invited to stay for a Community Sing in which Kitka and Tzvetanka will share a couple of beautiful, accessible, and fun songs in praise of the mothers in our lives.
